What is the Singapore International Festival of Arts?
The annual arts festival series returns with a brand new name, concept and approach as the Singapore International Festival of Arts or SIFA. Organised independently by the Arts House Limited, and commissioned by the National Arts Council, it aims to inspire diverse audiences through great artistic experiences. From 2014 – 2017, SIFA is helmed by Founding Festival Director Ong Keng Sen.
When is SIFA 2017 held?
SIFA begins with The O.P.E.N., its pre-festival of ideas and public engagement. The O.P.E.N. begins from 28 June to 30 July, while SIFA runs from 5 August to 9 September.
Is there an application I can download for the festival?
While there isn’t a mobile app for the Festival, there are various ways to stay informed! Sign up for our mailing list, or connect with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Patrons are encouraged to be at the venue at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. As a general practice, please be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time. With respect to the performers and other audience members, latecomers will only be admitted into the venues at a suitable break. This varies from performance to performance. For some performances, latecomers may be admitted only after first interval.
If you leave a performance after it has commenced, you will only be re-admitted at a suitable break.
We regret any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause latecomers.

These are free-seating and available on a first-come-first-served basis on the day of the performance/event. There are also events with free admissions. However these may require pre-booking or registrations. Please refer to the respective event pages for details.
What happens if I can’t make it for the performance? Would a refund be possible?
