Enter the Waters: An embodied art-making journey

Unapologetic Yoga and Art by Radha (Singapore)

Let the waters stir your imagination in this embodied art-making session, as we wade through the tides in a multi-sensorial guided visualisation, and then play with patterns to create intuitive art. We will explore how to incorporate movement and unity in your artwork as we move through the different patterns of the watery landscapes of the earth, bringing your visualisation to life with acrylics, watercolours and other unexpected tools and mediums. You’ll have space to create a piece of embodied art, with some gentle guidance and space to freely create. Everyone is welcome  – come with an open mind and an open heart, because you’re creating for yourself. May our collective energies help us make beautiful art as we enter the waters!

About the Facilitator

Leanna Emmanuel

Leanna Emmanuel runs Unapologetic Yoga, where she guides mindful yoga and meditation sessions centring the lives of marginalised people. She believes that the healing arts should be accessible to all and conducted with respect and care.

R. Radha

R. Radha is a visual narrator. She draws moments in time, passing thoughts and slices of memories. Her hope is to use art to inform, inspire and advocate.

About Healing Arts Sessions

Healing arts are creative practices that promote healing, wellness, and growth. The Festival House will be offering a series of artist-led workshops that cultivate mindful practices, creating pathways for participants to re-connect with their body and self as a form of care.
