A Day, 2023 is a multidisciplinary installation combining performance and video installation, reflecting on the nature of time, space and our everyday relationships. You’re invited to wander through doors and liminal spaces, to discover new encounters that differ each day, and to imagine for yourself how everything connects.

A Day, 2023 compels you to find the intriguing amid the mundane. Time becomes tangible, evocatively reminding you of its presence as the installation magnifies and transforms certain very tiny and inconspicuous daily rituals, urging the viewer towards observation, reflection, and an eventual return to reality with unexpected insight.

On the first day of A Day, 2023, you meet a museum guide describing works that remain unseen behind closed doors; works that can be eloquently described and completely indescribable. What might be revealed to you behind a closed door, depending on the day, might just be a room. Subsequent closed doors prompt a reckoning with the possibility of never knowing what lies beyond, before coming to terms with a reality paralleled in everyday life: the anticipation of – and utter inability to predict – the future.
